I made a mashup of a few difference recipes and techniques I have found to work best to cook a salmon filet over the years, with a sweet pineapple twist.

Sweet Salmon
Ingredients:
1-2 salmon filets
1 small can of crushed pineapple
1 garlic clove
salt
ground pepper
butter or alternative
aluminum foil
Optional: cilantro
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F
2. Wash salmon and pat dry with paper towel
3. Butter skin of salmon & place on large piece of aluminum foil to avoid sticking
4. Lightly salt & pepper the top of the salmon
5. Mince or press garlic and sprinkle on top of salmon
6. Open crushed pineapple can, drain, spoon onto salmon and cover
7. Close the aluminum foil into a pouch and place into oven
8. Cook for 20 minutes or until internal temperature reached 145 degrees F
9. Add chopped cilantro to garnish
